World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature allows players to upgrade their equipment. This can be done by any upgrader of items NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element in keeping him safe from danger. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it is possible to enhance its defense capabilities in different ways.
Armour is designed to shield animals and people from harm or injury, whether it's from a direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. In the past, most armour was made from fabrics or leather, however metal protections were also used, especially for military applications such as heavy cavalry and combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour, however, the majority require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain offers a different degree of improvement and higher levels of protection that require more rupees as well as materials.
The first thing to note about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been installed, they cannot be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your gear and that you have enough of the required materials to complete the process.
When it comes to acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule including merchants, shrines and even enemies. These will generally be marked with the gold circle or blue triangle, and will be available in large quantities as you advance through the game. While they might appear randomly, there is a chance that acquiring certain upgrade components will result in a quest that will reward players with more.
It is important to remember that, although the level provided by each upgrade may vary however, it will always be more than zero. This is because a full set of upgraded armour will give you a significant defense boost, which will shield you from all types of attacks except magic, making it a powerful tool for any class.

Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them truly unique. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the stats of the weapon to suit your particular build. They can also unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, different types of ammo, and aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll require an upgrade component in place as well as the item itself. The weapon should be at or near a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only accept a single upgrade.
There are weapon upgrade components scattered around the globe and from the hands of enemies, or they can be bought from a merchant. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of components that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or extra effect while they're in use. The equipment must be at a certain level to accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mixture of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to improve the effectiveness of weapons and increase their scaling with other stats. These upgrades can be purchased from enemies in the open world, or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for example upgrade your weapon first, then your chest and shoulders followed by your feet and hands. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain procs may be better than others depending on your playstyle. Armour is the same, with certain reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one item of magic. If an upgrade project is cancelled, any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but they can offer additional benefits.
A magical item could be any item that has special properties or effects. These are typically weapons, but they could also be armors, shields or cloaks as well as potions. They can also be rings, scrolls, or other items. Some of these items have a sense of being.
Most magical items can be upgraded to become enhanced with new abilities. This could make them more beneficial to players or aid them overcome a difficult encounter. Infused weapons can offer bonus damage against a particular enemy type, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a point at which they are likely to encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.
A ring infused by magic may grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or slash (excluding silvered attacks) until the character gets another long rest. This can be particularly helpful for melee martial characters or any other character who wants to avoid the cost and hassle of purchasing an armor.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special powers which allow the character to cast spells in addition to those listed on their class's spell list. This is useful for characters that have trouble maintaining their spell slots because of multiclassing. upgrade item require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table based on the amount of Intelligence point expended.
Other items that can be enchanted may allow the player to change their appearance, or even create a completely new one. These items can be especially useful for characters that were forced to leave their home, or are located in an area where they may not be welcomed. A magical item could provide them with an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to everyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that does not fall into the categories of Clothing or Armor and come with a range of capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, unlike weapons or armor. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that players can activate by using them. Some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button or activating the skill.
The Flashlight is the most commonly used utility item. It is used to illuminate the area around it. Other utility items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player float in mid-air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows him to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. A variety of useful items can be immediately produced in the Engineering section while others can be unlocked through Research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the ones that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items are upgradeable to make them more effective.
Most utility items provide the player with an advantage in navigation or boost a specific combat ability. For instance, Sharpening stones made by the Weaponsmith boost Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman increase the concentration and healing power. Other useful items like Writs and Theses made by the Scribe, can be utilized to give the player either an increase in Damage or Condition Damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip one accessory item to start the campaign. An additional slot is available after completing certain research, engineering or research projects on the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters downloadable content, additional slots can be obtained by equipping an grenade Launcher. This enables the player to use a Smoke Grenade or Bomb while an offensive grenade remains in the main slot.
